Incogni Review 2026: Is It Legit and Worth $95.88 a Year?
Incogni is a legitimate, fully automated data removal service from the company behind Surfshark, and it costs $95.88 a year ($7.99 a month) to send recurring removal requests to 420+ data brokers, checked October 24, 2026. Incogni is worth it if you want set-and-forget broker opt-outs; skip it if you need custom removals, which start on the $179.88 Unlimited plan.

Incogni price and plans (2026)
Incogni costs $95.88 a year for one person on the Standard plan, the cheapest of its four plans on October 24, 2026.
| Plan | Billed yearly | Monthly equivalent | Custom removals | People |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $95.88 | $7.99 | No | 1 |
| Unlimited | $179.88 | $14.99 | Yes | 1 |
| Family | $191.88 | $15.99 | No | Up to 5 |
| Family Unlimited | $275.88 | $22.99 | Yes | Up to 5 |
Incogni Standard on monthly billing costs $15.98 a month, double the yearly rate. Incogni prints a higher struck-through figure next to each yearly price and doesn’t list a separate renewal price; plans renew automatically. Family plans cover you plus four others; Incogni’s FAQ phrases that as “add up to four people”.
How Incogni works and how long it takes
Incogni sends automated opt-out requests in your name to every broker on its list and repeats them. For people-search sites, Incogni scans for your profile and requests removal when it finds a match; for private brokers that can’t be searched, it sends requests to the brokers likely to hold your data based on where you live.
Incogni says some brokers act within hours and others take weeks, and the dashboard shows each broker’s expected time. Monthly progress reports list request statuses. Incogni itself warns that some requests take over 30 days, which is why it pushes yearly plans over monthly ones.
Is Incogni legit? What the Deloitte report checked
Incogni is legit, and it is one of the few removal services with an outside assurance report. Deloitte Lietuva UAB issued an ISAE 3000 limited-assurance report on 6 August 2025, covering Incogni’s own statements as of 18 July 2025:
- requests go to more than 420 data brokers, and confirmations come back from more than 420;
- requests repeat at least every 60 days for public brokers and 90 days for private ones;
- Incogni didn’t sell customer data in 2024;
- Incogni had processed more than 245 million removal requests.
Limited assurance is a lighter check than a full audit, and the report doesn’t measure how many of your listings actually disappear. Incogni was not one of the 7 services in Consumer Reports’ 2024 removal study, so no independent removal rate exists for it.
Incogni downsides
Incogni’s weak spots are what it leaves out, not what it does:
- No custom removals on Standard. Sites outside the 420+ list need Unlimited at $179.88 a year.
- Automated only on the cheaper plans. No person checks each listing on Standard or Family.
- No independent removal rate. The Deloitte report confirms process, not results.
How to cancel Incogni
Incogni cancels from your account settings:
- Log in and click your email address (desktop) or the profile icon (mobile).
- Click Profile, then Subscription & billing.
- Click Manage billing next to your plan and choose Cancel subscription.
Canceling stops auto-renewal; you keep the service until the term ends. A refund isn’t automatic: ask support within 30 days of signing up for the full amount. If you bought Incogni in a NordVPN or Surfshark bundle, cancel through that company instead.
