DeleteMe Review 2026: Is It Worth $129 a Year?

DeleteMe is a legitimate data removal service that costs $129 a year for one person, and it's worth it if you want people handling your removal requests and quarterly reports more than the widest automated coverage (checked October 24, 2026). The catch: of the 969 sites on DeleteMe's own list, 91 are marked as covered by the Standard plan, and most of the rest need a custom request.

DeleteMe review: Legit, $129 a year for one person.

Our verdictDeleteMe

DeleteMe suits people who want a human team sending and chasing removal requests, but its Standard plan covers fewer marked sites than cheaper automated services.

DeleteMe cost and plans (2026)

DeleteMe costs $129 a year for one person, $229 for two and $329 for a family of four, on the US plans page checked October 24, 2026.

Plan1 year2 yearsPer person per year (1-year plan)
1 person$129$209$129
2 people$229$349$114.50
Family (4 people)$329$499$82.25

DeleteMe’s plans page offers only 1-year and 2-year terms, and every plan renews automatically unless you cancel. The 2-year plan for one person works out to about $8.71 a month. Business plans are quoted by sales. The site list also mentions Platinum and VIP plans that the plans page doesn’t price.

How many sites DeleteMe actually covers

DeleteMe’s Standard plan covers 91 sites, by our count of the plan marks on DeleteMe’s own “Sites We Remove From” list (updated 09/17/26). The list has 969 entries in total, and most of them aren’t included automatically:

Mark on DeleteMe’s listEntries (our count, Oct 24, 2026)
Included in Standard Plan and above91
Custom requests only562
Exclusively in VIP Plan142
International plans only148

A custom request means you send DeleteMe a site that isn’t on its automatic list and a privacy expert tries to remove you from it. DeleteMe itself argues list size isn’t always the best measure of a removal service, and its Standard marks do include big people-search sites: Whitepages, Spokeo, BeenVerified, TruePeopleSearch, FastPeopleSearch, MyLife and PeopleFinders. Intelius, TruthFinder and Instant Checkmate, though, are marked custom-request only. Still, compare the 91 figure with the 420+ brokers Incogni Standard covers for $95.88 a year.

Does DeleteMe actually work?

DeleteMe removed 27% of participants’ profiles within four months in Consumer Reports’ 2024 study, a mid-table result among the 7 services tested on 13 people-search sites. DeleteMe managed 13% in the first week. The two best services, Optery and EasyOptOuts, reached 68% and 65%, and manual opt-outs removed 70% in a week.

DeleteMe’s own claim is an average of 15 public listings removed “within days”. That figure is DeleteMe’s, not an independent one.

Is DeleteMe legit and safe?

DeleteMe is a real, long-running service: it is built and run by Abine, Inc., says it has operated since 2011, and Consumer Reports included it in its 2024 study. DeleteMe also says it holds an A+ BBB rating; we didn’t verify that on BBB’s site.

You give DeleteMe the names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses you want removed, and its team files opt-outs in your name. DeleteMe can’t delete Google results directly; it removes the broker listing the result points to.
