SentinelOne vs CrowdStrike: Prices, Tiers and Key Differences

CrowdStrike is cheaper to start and SentinelOne is cheaper for EDR: CrowdStrike Falcon Go lists at $59.99 per device per year against $69.99 for SentinelOne Singularity Core, while EDR costs $184.99 on Falcon Enterprise and $179.99 on Singularity Complete (both vendors' pricing pages, checked October 24, 2026).

SentinelOne vs CrowdStrike: CrowdStrike is cheaper to start; SentinelOne for EDR.

The bigger difference is how you buy: CrowdStrike sells its three small-business plans online by card, while SentinelOne sells only through partners, who set the final price.

Which tiers match, and what does each include?

Falcon Go matches Singularity Core, Falcon Pro matches Singularity Control, and Falcon Enterprise matches Singularity Complete. We paired them by what each vendor lists on its own plan cards.

SentinelOne’s Singularity Commercial adds identity threat detection, 90-day retention and managed threat hunting for $50 more than Complete per endpoint. CrowdStrike sells identity protection as an add-on with no published price. CrowdStrike’s mobile protection appears on all three Falcon plan cards; SentinelOne’s package table doesn’t list mobile.

What do SentinelOne and CrowdStrike cost for 10, 50 and 100 devices?

Ten devices on EDR cost $1,799.90 a year on SentinelOne Complete and $1,849.90 on CrowdStrike Falcon Enterprise. The table multiplies each list price by the device count; it is our arithmetic, before tax and before any partner discount.

Above 100 devices, Falcon Go is no longer available and SentinelOne’s list prices stop applying, so both become quotes. CrowdStrike also offers monthly billing, which costs more over a year; see the full CrowdStrike price list for those figures.

How do you buy SentinelOne and CrowdStrike?

CrowdStrike sells Falcon Go, Pro and Enterprise from a shopping cart on its website; SentinelOne sells only through authorized partners.

  • CrowdStrike: pay monthly or yearly by card. Annual plans are billed up front with a full refund if you cancel within 30 days, per CrowdStrike’s pricing FAQ. A 15-day free trial needs no credit card.
  • SentinelOne: the pricing page says list prices “do not reflect final pricing”, which you agree with the partner, and the partner’s price wins if the two conflict. Many small businesses get SentinelOne through their MSP.

Our breakdown of SentinelOne’s package prices covers the Enterprise tier and partner terms.

Which detects threats better?

We found no 2026 independent lab test that includes both products. AV-Comparatives tested CrowdStrike Falcon Enterprise in its March–June 2026 Business Security Test, where it blocked 98.5% of real-world attacks; SentinelOne wasn’t in that test.

MITRE’s ATT&CK Evaluations don’t score or rank vendors. CrowdStrike took part in the 2025 Enterprise round and says it reached full detection and protection with no false positives. SentinelOne said on September 12, 2025 that it would not take part in the 2025 Enterprise evaluation, so there is no 2025 MITRE result to compare.

How reliable are they? Outages and incidents

Both vendors have published a root cause analysis for a major outage, and only CrowdStrike’s crashed customer computers.

  • CrowdStrike, July 19, 2024. A faulty Falcon content update for Windows (Channel File 291) went out at 04:09 UTC and was reverted at 05:27 UTC, per CrowdStrike. Microsoft estimated that 8.5 million Windows devices crashed. Mac and Linux hosts were not affected, and CrowdStrike said it was not a cyberattack.
  • SentinelOne, May 29, 2025. A software flaw in an infrastructure control system removed network routes at 13:37 UTC, cutting access to the management console until about 20:05 UTC, per SentinelOne’s root cause analysis. SentinelOne says customer endpoints remained protected and it was not a security event.

Managed detection: Falcon Complete vs SentinelOne MDR

Neither vendor publishes a price for its managed service. CrowdStrike Falcon Complete is 24/7 managed detection and response run by CrowdStrike, with its Breach Prevention Warranty, sold through sales. SentinelOne lists managed detection and response as an add-on for Singularity Commercial and Enterprise, not for Complete. If you want a published price for 24/7 monitoring, look at Huntress’s managed EDR pricing, ThreatDown or ESET instead.

SentinelOne vs CrowdStrike: which should you choose?

Choose CrowdStrike if you want to buy online today; choose SentinelOne if you buy through an MSP or want EDR for slightly less.

  • Under 100 devices, buying direct: CrowdStrike. You can check out with a card, and Falcon Go is the cheaper entry plan.
  • Your MSP manages your security: SentinelOne is partner-sold anyway; ask your MSP for a Complete or Commercial quote.
  • You need EDR plus identity protection: SentinelOne Commercial bundles both at a list price; CrowdStrike prices identity protection only on request.
  • You already pay for Microsoft 365 Business Premium: it includes Microsoft Defender for Business with EDR, so compare that first, alongside the other CrowdStrike competitors. We cover whether the built-in Windows antivirus is enough separately.
